Richard Winfield is a research professor at the University of Georgia and a congressional candidate for Georgia's 10th district.  

As an academic he has authored multiple works on legal and economic justice including: Hegel and the Future of Systematic Philosophy, Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit, The Living Mind: From Psyche to Consciousness, Modernity, Religion, and the War on Terror, and The Just State: Rethinking Self-Government.

As a candidate for public office he is running on a platform of economic rights, including the right to a job.  He argues for a federal jobs guarantee where every American can gain a job at $20/ hour.
