Richard Winfield is a research professor at the University of Georgia and a congressional candidate for Georgia's 10th district.

As an academic he has authored multiple works on legal and economic justice including: Hegel and the Future of Systematic Philosophy, Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit, The Living Mind: From Psyche to Consciousness, Modernity, Religion, and the War on Terror, and The Just State: Rethinking Self-Government.
